Emulsion Remover

Description

ER-188 is a formulation designed for fast removal of emulsions and capillary films from screens by means of spray-on application.

Availability

Full strength liquid: 1, 5, 30 and 55 gallon sizes.
Powder: 2 lb. jar.

Application

Full strength liquid: Remove all ink from screen with a compatible, non-film forming ink remover, such as BIO-2. Spray ER-188 in a uniformly applied pattern working from bottom to top on the print contact side of the screen. In some cases, better results are obtained by wiping the screen with a brush or towel after application. Allow to stand for 1 to 3 minutes depending on the type of hardness of the emulsion used. Remove emulsion residue using a medium pressure, low volume cold water rinse. Allow screen to dry completely before recoating.

Powder: In a plastic container, make a standard strength solution by dissolving 1 ½ oz. By weight into one gallon of water. For extra strength, use 3 oz. To one gallon. Follow instructions for full strength liquid.

First Aid

External: On skin, rinse skin with water. Remove and wash contaminated items before reuse. In eyes, flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes occasionally opening eyelids to ensure thorough irrigation; contact a physician. Always remove contact lenses prior to using any chemicals.

Internal: If ingested, induce vomiting immediately and pump out stomach if necessary. Contact a physician.
